WILLIAM CLAYTON

TERM: Recent Graduate (Former Apprentice)

Tell us about your journey into the Oregon Laborers, what made you choose to become a construction craft laborer apprentice?
I wanted a new experience and challenge to take on and to make better money and better myself and provide better for my family

How has being in the apprenticeship program impacted your life?
It has impacted my life by giving me many opportunities to accomplish and tons of skills and knowledge and a bunch of new experiences.

What advice would you give others who are interested in joining our program or are just starting out?
Definitely stick with the program, there might be some grey times/areas where you think it’s not worth it but I’ll tell you from experience it is 100% worth every hour you put in to become that journey worker you can be. Definitely need doughnuts on Mondays and Fridays when you’re in class lol.
